Randomness

This is a great photo of the Athabasca Sand Dunes from the air. A friend of mine is a Forest Officer up there...that means he got to spend lots and lots of time in that place! And I was a very happy camper. What a great end to a great summer!

Blueberries!

So...I'm a berry-picker, as some of you may already know. And Jan and I came across this amazing patch of plump and juicy blues! See how happy I am?! I tried to bring a whole load of them back with me, but they got pulverized on the trip back....I even froze them the night before ( in our propane-powered freezer), but that didn't work either. And NO, I didn't paint that bruise on my leg with blueberry juice...

Richardson River Dunes Wildland P.Park

This is a "nice" version of what careless riding on a quad can do....don't do this at home!

A "horny" moose responding to the moose calls...looking for a pretty cow to mate with...hahaha ( he was a wee bit confused!)

Here it is...my heart wide open! The sunset is actually not taken in the backcountry, but rather at Anzac beach. The footprints are really the only thing you see in the sand at the dunes. These ones are of a Timber Wolf. Others include the Sandhill Crane and types of Weasles.
